WHAT WE DO

R

Governance

We work with clients to understand their governance arrangements and clarify responsibilities relating to people, leadership,  and organisational responsibility.

R

Risk

We hold the safety of people and organisations as a genuine obligation, not a compliance exercise.

R

Continuity

The frameworks we build are there to protect people and organisations when things go wrong.

WHO WE ARE

C3M Advisory is a specialist consultancy providing governance, risk, and continuity services to local governments, small businesses, and organisations across Queensland and nationally. The advisory practice is built on more than three decades of executive and operational leadership spanning the Australian Defence Force, national intelligence agencies, emergency services, and local government, across some of the most demanding operating environments in Australia.

GOVERNANCE

C3M Advisory acts with Integrity

Structure · Accountability · Strategy

Good governance is not about having the right documents. It is about having the right systems so that decisions are made by the right people, accountability is clear, and the organisation operates the way it is intended to.

RISK

C3M Advisory acts with Safety

Enterprise Risk · Assurance · Insight

Every organisation faces risk. The difference between organisations that manage risk well and those that do not is usually not the absence of a risk register, it is whether risk has been genuinely identified, assessed, and embedded into the way the business makes decisions.

CONTINUITY

C3M Advisory acts with Purpose

Preparedness · Response · Recovery

When something goes wrong, a disaster, a critical incident, a system failure, or a community emergency, organisations and communities need to know what to do, who is in charge, and how to keep functioning. C3M Advisory builds that capability before it is needed.

CULTURAL COMPETENCY

C3M Advisory has worked alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations for more than two decades, across remote, regional, and urban settings in Queensland, the Northern Territory, and Tasmania. This experience spans local government, health and emergency services, emergency management, leadership, and organisational refinement within communities where cultural protocols, relationships, and self-determination are central to how effective advisory work is done.

Effective advisory practice in these environments cannot be separated from cultural competency. C3M Advisory brings genuine, experience-based cultural competency developed through sustained direct engagement, not through training alone. This includes an understanding of community governance structures, the importance of Elder and Traditional Owner leadership, the communication protocols and decision-making processes of different communities, and the ways in which government and organisational systems must adapt to serve rather than impose.

Depth of Experience

C3M Advisory’s capability rests on four distinct areas of experience. Together they form a practice that crosses the boundaries of governance, safety, emergency management, community leadership, and organisational resilience in ways that few advisory practices can replicate.
